Water Lilies

I find the shore extremely interesting. I am endlessly fascinated with the plants and animals that inhabit these transitional places where a body of water meets the land. In this painting I interpret my impression of water lilies at the edge of a hidden cove in Knights Pond, where loons nest in the Spring and geese rest on their migratory flights.

This is turning out to be a very challenging project, but I sent out my first mailing yesterday and got my first sale!! This is good :) Now that I am not in treatment for Breast Cancer full time, I can get back to painting and selling my paintings full time. Stranded here since my neighbor got home from her business trip and picked up her car. The garage hasn't called, so they haven't even looked at my car yet. Somehow, during this what seems to be chronic financial crisis, I am managing to stay focused enough to continue to work. Hoping my supplies hold out!
